Welcome to VicinoKart. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VicinoKart website and apps (the "Service"), operated by VicinoKart ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What VicinoKart is

VicinoKart is a hyperlocal marketplace that helps consumers discover and contact nearby service professionals (such as plumbers, electricians and tutors). We provide a platform for discovery and connection only — we are not a party to any agreement, service, or transaction between a consumer and a professional, and we do not perform the services listed.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service.

3. Accounts

You register using your phone number and a one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping access to your phone secure. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Consumers

• Use the Service to find and contact professionals near you. Listing and contacting are free.
• You are responsible for evaluating, hiring and dealing directly with professionals.
• Reviews you post must be honest and based on a genuine interaction.

5. Service professionals

• To appear in search results you must maintain an active subscription of ₹30 per month and a valid profile (including a photo).
• You are solely responsible for the services you provide, their quality, pricing, licensing and legality.
• Profile information you publish (name, photo, skills, ratings) is visible to consumers.

6. Subscriptions & payments

Provider subscriptions are billed monthly and processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel from your account; cancellation stops future billing and removal from search per your selected option. Fees already charged are non-refundable except where required by law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: post false, misleading, unlawful, infringing or offensive content; impersonate others; misuse reviews; attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service; or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our content policies.

8. Reviews & content

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a licence to host and display it within the Service. We may moderate, flag or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality or availability of any professional or service listed, and we make no warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VicinoKart is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for disputes, losses or harm arising from interactions or transactions between consumers and professionals.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or applicable law. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
